Transport
Experian has a fleet of 1,053 cars (688 in the UK, 334 in the US and 31 in France) which travelled 21 million km in 2005/6, and consumed 2.4 million litres of fuel. The charts demonstrate how this impact has changed over time. Both figures have fallen sharply when expressed per £1000 of sales.

There are two concentrations of employment: Nottingham in the UK (which is the headquarters of Experian International) and Costa Mesa in California (the headquarters of Experian Americas). Experian France provides significantly subsidised public transport season tickets to employees working in the major cities, for example Paris, Lyon, Marseille and Bordeaux, and encourages employees to travel by public transport where possible.
Experian Americas operates a Rideshare Programme with 350 registered participants. Experian leases, maintains and insures a pool of vans which groups of employees can then use for a nominal fee. It also offers financial incentives for employees walking, cycling or car-pooling on their way to work (between $5-$50/month), car-pool matching services and a guaranteed ride home for participants who need to leave early or stay late.
Road vehicle travel represents only one element of Experian’s total transport impact. Experian’s people travel internationally dealing with clients in over 60 countries, and within Experian’s global operations. Experian is considering a process to collect this data.
